Every 1.6 minutes, another U.S. driver backs into trouble. Each year in the United States there are over 300,000 reported reversing accidents, in driveways, parking lots, and neighborhoods all over the country. These accidents account for more than 400 deaths annually, usually involving young children, costing drivers in excess of 1.3 billion dollars in damages. According to the Department of Transportation, 27% of all accidents occur in reverse. Kids and Cars, a child safety advocacy group in Leawood, Kan., said about 50 children are backed over in a driveway or parking lot every week in the United States and at least two die. According to the Department of Transportation 70% of the drivers are a family member of the child, said Janette Fennell, founder and president of the group. BACK UP ACCIDENTS ARE PREVENTABLE!!!! We have heard all them. The annoying back-up warning sounds on trucks and vans that alert passengers and other vehicles of their presence. They may be annoying , but aren't they clever? Clever. That's what Kiddie Alert is. Kiddie Alert is a back up voice-enhanced alerting systems. Drivers become distracted or lose focus. A cell phone rings. An eye wanders to a passer-by. Then the unthinkable happens. Every 1.6 minutes, a driver backs into trouble. Each year in the U.S., there are more than 300,000 accidents in driveways and parking lots involving a vehicle that was backing up and crashed into another vehicle or seriously injured or killed a pedestrian. These accidents account for more than 400 deaths annually and almost always involve a child. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, 27% of all vehicle accidents occur during reverse. Further research has revealed 70% of these accidents could have been prevented with the uses of a collision avoidance system such as Kiddie Alert. |

The Kiddie Alert system is automatically activated each time the vehicle's transmission is shifted into reverse. At that time, a piercing electronic beeping, along with a VOICE "Please Stand Clear". This new millennium backup technology can enhance any vehicle's current reverse-sensory system. Kiddie Alert delivers voice commands to children and/or adults in proximity to the rear of the reversing vehicle. |
